Company Overview

The Urban Century Group is a private, New York-based investment company focused on deploying private equity capital into under-valued or distressed real estate assets and related entities. The company is a sister entity of the Infinity Group, a diversified U.S. holding company with investment interests in consumer products, real estate, insurance, and banking.

The Urban Century Group aims to capitalize on the rising dominance of large international gateway cities in the way people live and do business. It is based on the belief that urban nodes on the international pathway of business, trade, and innovation, offer the best long-term prospects for real estate capital formation and rising property values.  The accelerating migration of people toward large metropolitan centers; the growing clout of young, affluent and lifestyle-conscious urban dwellers; and the growing demand for environmentally-conscious development, are macro-story trends that will affect real estate and global financial markets for decades to come. The Urban Century Group's strategic investment framework anchors the company's capital growth strategies at the center of these powerful trends.

The Urban Century Group was formed by Etienne Locoh (former principal of Citigroup's private equity North American real estate unit) in partnership with the Infinity Group as lead investor.  Mr. Locoh and his team bring UCG the full depth of the market knowledge, investment experience, and industry relationships they have built over the last two decades working with some of the largest institutional investors in the world. Their insights, expertise, and value-based approach ensure that the most innovative ideas and best practices grow and protect the firm's client capital.
